The Journey of an Emerging AfroPop and HipHop Artist
Actively discovering new music broadens your musical landscape and enriches your listening experience. As a lifelong musician, I’ve always believed I had an inclusive taste in music. However, I recently found myself stuck in a musical rut, relying on my go-to artists and genres. That's when I stumbled upon Dah Sauce, a fresh voice in AfroPop and HipHop.
Dah Sauce is an emerging talent in the AfroPop and HipHop genres.
His latest release, an EP titled "E.M.J," features six captivating tracks and was released on June 28th.
How would you describe yourself and your musical style to someone who has never heard your music before?
"I am the type of person who listens to every music genre I come across, and I always try to create something unique. I gravitate towards AfroPop, HipHop, and Trap music, which I’ve been focusing on lately."
Can you tell us about your music journey?
"My dad has always been a music lover, playing various genres since I was young. This instilled in me a passion for creating my own songs. I started taking music seriously after finishing secondary school. By 2021, I had written several songs and made my first track. I've been dedicated to music ever since."
How did you get started in the industry, and what has your path been like so far?
"I’m still an independent artist without much industry recognition. It hasn't been easy without connections or resources for marketing and promotion. I only get occasional studio time, but I'm working on setting up a home studio to create music anytime."

Overcoming Challenges
What were some of the biggest challenges you faced when you first started your music career, and how did you overcome them?
